Taj Mahal Made it to the New 7 Wonders of the World
Taj Mahal has finally made into the elite list of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
I was watching the television for last half an hour. Just few minutes back the new list of 7 wonders was unveiled at in the Portuguese capital Lisbon. And as a reward for all prayers, I happen to listen to this wonderful news which made my day.
Rest of the six monuments to enter into the New 7 Wonders of the World:
- The ruins of Machu Picchu near Cuzco, Perú
- Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, Southern Mexico
- Colosseum, Rome, Italy
- The Great Wall of China
- The Khazneh, or Treasury in Petra, Jordan
- The statue of Christ the Redeemer, at Corcovado mountain, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Yay!
I really wanted Chichen Itza to get chosen, and my other favorites were the Taj Mahal, the Great Wall, and the Colosseum. =)

I'm sure that there were more than jut Indians voting for the Taj Mahal. It is a magnificent structure and truly deserves this honour.
I have visited the Taj twice and would love the opportunity to go back someday.

Well I made it to the Colosseum, Rome, Italy on the list and the Maldives below India.
