Hike in Petrol and Diesel Prices Again

The Indian government may consider a marginal hike in petrol and diesel prices with a simultaneous reduction in excise duty. So let's see what will be the actual extra money going out from consumer's pocket. The group of ministers (GoM) may recommend an upward revision of auto fuel prices.

The measure reason to hike the prices, would come as a major relief to the public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs), which are losing about Rs 240 crore every day on selling petrol and diesel below cost.

Source of Information on Personal Loans and Secured Loans

Many of my acquaintances had questions about personal loans and I decided to do some research on the internet because I thought it's too interesting a subject to spend time on today evening. There are quite a few sites on loans and there are many that actually help you to compare different loans, educate you on positives and negatives of various type of loans through lots of good articles. One of these websites,, pretty much has nice design and you can get lot of information on personal loans, secured loans, debt consolidation loans and other types of loans here.

I did not know before I visited them that unsecured loan rates can vary at large extent between lenders. For example, I learned that car loans are usually one of the most expensive forms of personal loans. Rates can go from 15% up to 40% depending on your credit history and other factors.

Same way, it's useful to learn about house mortgage to discuss with you as I want to know more about home loans before I go for one. I will suggest to check such websites before you take any decision for loans.

Events in Winston-Salem Next Week

I just arrived to North California last week. There were many reasons, to meet friends in Charlotte or to meet up with ex-colleagues but there was one more important reason. I wanted to attend many events in Winston-Salem this year so I landed up here right in the month of December to enjoy these events for a week.

I took some rest past weekend and today and now ready to check out the events from tomorrow. They have Lighting of the Quad holiday event featuring speakers, music, refreshments and holiday tree lighting. That would be certainly a good start for the chain of events.

I may lik to experience the warmth of a rural Christmas at the turn of the 20th century. Music and food of the era will be featured here in Christmas by Lamplight

There is Tannenberg Organ Concert as well around same time.

At the end of visit to Winston-Salem, I would check out the The Nutcracker Tchaikovsky’s fairy-tale ballet performed by North Carolina School of the Arts students. The fun about "The Nutcracker" is their glittering costumes and fabulous set designs. I came to know that the ballet’s choreography is based on the original 19th century choreography of Lev Ivanov.
